What Should We Be Praying For?

10 And he said to me, “Son of man, listen carefully and take to heart all the words I speak to you. 11 Go now to your people in exile and speak to them. Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says,’ whether they listen or fail to listen.” (Ezekiel 3:10-11)

14 …if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. (Philippians 4:6)

Lead me in the right path, O Lord,
or my enemies will conquer me.
Make your way plain for me to follow. (Psalm 5:8)

11 Teach me how to live, O Lord.
Lead me along the right path,
for my enemies are waiting for me. (Psalm 27:11)

11 Teach me your ways, O Lord,
that I may live according to your truth!
Grant me purity of heart,
so that I may honor you. (Psalm 86:11)

27 Help me understand the meaning of your commandments,
and I will meditate on your wonderful deeds.

37 Turn my eyes from worthless things,
and give me life through your word.

73 You made me; you created me.
Now give me the sense to follow your commands. (Psalm 119:27, 37, 73)
